And the Whirlwind Continues

I’m up early today packing and getting ready to hit the road again!  This weekend I’m driving up to Asheville, North Carolina for the Asheville Half Marathon.  I absolutely adore Asheville and I love the Biltmore, which is where this race is set.  The course goes all through the grounds of the Biltmore.

The weather looks good!  The last two years, this race has been cold and last year it was cold and wet.  This year the forecast is calling for sunny skies and moderate temps (50-60) which sounds perfect to this Florida runner.

Not only am I running in a new to me race, in another state, but I’m also a race ambassador for the race so I’ll be involved in different activities before the race.  And I’m working my very first Expo at the BondiBand booth!  If you follow along, you probably already know that BondiBands are second only to SparkleSkirts in my heart.  So I’m really excited to be able to represent them at the Expo.  And a little scared!  I’ve never done this before and while I’ve worked retail in the past, this is a whole new ballgame.

I’m not sure how much time I’ll have to post (or visit any of my friends’ posts!) while I’m on this adventure!  I’m looking forward to meeting up with some friends and seeing the gorgeous scenery around Asheville.  Wish me luck on the eight-hour drive (each way!), the six-hour expo and the very most likely three-hour race!  I can’t wait to share the pictures because I know they’ll be spectacular (even if my legs don’t agree)!

    • Thanks! It was pretty dreary and rainy driving in today, but the forecast looks like race day is going to be gorgeous!
