2016 Disney Parks Moms Panel Search – Third Time’s the Charm

The 2016 Disney Parks Moms Panel Search starts tomorrow, at 10am ET on September 8th.  I’ve got my calendar marked to get my application in on day one!  I made it to the finals last year (my second time applying) so I’m one of the lucky few who have the golden FastPass+ to Round 2.  I’ll still have to apply, but should automatically advance to the semi-finals.  Talk about pixie dust!  Because the 2016 Disney … Continue reading

Disney Parks Moms Panel Search – Succeeding through Failure

The 2016 Disney Parks Moms Panel Search starts a week from tomorrow, at 10am ET on September 8th.  I made it to the finals last year (my second time applying) but wasn’t one of the 22 new panelists selected.  I’m not going to lie to you, it hurt…a lot. We had just driven down to Walt Disney World for our annual Thanksgiving week trip and I’d gone by myself to the Magic Kingdom to purchase … Continue reading

Wordless Wednesday: Retro

Wordless Wednesday’s topic is Retro!  What a fun one.  I’ve been going to Walt Disney World since I was a toddler, so retro means memories to me.  Here are a few of my favorites! Me chowing down at The Crystal Palace.  Note: more current photos of the same subject look just about the same! I have photos of my kids with those same giddy grins! And the parades are magical, no matter the decade! I’m linking … Continue reading

Disney 2020 Updates from 2015 D23 Expo

What an exciting weekend for Disney news!  While I wasn’t one of the lucky ones who got the news first hand at the D23 Expo, I had a great time following along from home.  So, what’s in store for the future?  Let’s look at the upcoming treats in my best guess of chronological order! Later this year, the Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen restaurant is scheduled to open in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom.  … Continue reading

Legacy

When two of my favorite brands, Disney (my favorite destination) and H2O+ (my favorite body butter of all time…seriously I am slightly embarrassed about how much of this I have stocked up on!) announced a new campaign and a great giveaway, I was excited to be a part of it. This campaign celebrates Walt Disney Records’ The Legacy Collection, commemorating some of the best loved classic Disney films and soundtracks. They are asking us to … Continue reading

Beaches & Cream Soda Shop

One of our favorite restaurants at a Walt Disney World resort (outside of the parks) is Beaches & Cream Soda Shop.  It’s located right by Stormalong Bay at the Beach & Yacht Club and while it’s casual and not very expensive, advance dining reservations are definitely a good idea if you don’t want to wait several hours for a table. One reason that it’s hard to get a table without a dining reservation is that … Continue reading

Wordless Wednesday: Disney Nature

Today’s Wordless Wednesday linkup with Focused on the Magic, has the theme of “Disney Nature”.  While there are lots of animatronics at Walt Disney World, there’s still plenty of nature to be discovered!  Here are a few of my favorite Disney nature shots! Eli exploring at Fort Wilderness Campground and Cabins. A doe I saw on a run between Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge. A bunny at Magic Kingdom (I wouldn’t mind being that bunny!). … Continue reading

Dinner at ‘Ohana

Every now and then you have to splurge on a really special experience and a dinner at ‘Ohana is definitely worth the trip.  The first challenge is to get a reservation!  If you haven’t booked six months in advance it can be tough to get one of these coveted spots.  My most successful technique has been to check for reservations the week before, especially 24-48 hours in advance.  I’ve gotten a great last-minute reservation with … Continue reading
