Disney Traditions

One of the things that makes Walt Disney World so special to our family is the ability to pass traditions down to our children.  On every trip, we make sure to ride the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel in Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom.

It is one of those little things that makes each trip magical.  Eli knows that we always ride it and he looks forward to it.  It’s also been great to track his growth over the years as he went from being a little worried about the ride to being excited about the ride to being able to ride a horse all by himself.

Here’s his first ride.

And that was followed by many others:

I honed my selfie-taking skills along the way!

And here’s his most recent trip.  I’ll admit, it made me a little teary-eyed on our last trip when he announced that he was going to ride alone and that I needed to get myself my own horse.

Although we always try to do something new when we visit Walt Disney World, there is something heartwarming about having some set traditions on every trip.   This is just one of our Disney traditions.  I’d love to hear about yours!

I’m linking up again with run.geek.run(disney) and Adventures by Katie for their Mickey Monday linkup.  Make sure to stop by their pages to add even more Disney magic to your Monday!

    • Thanks! I did it more for myself actually! It just makes me happy to look at!

    • Ha ha! Yep, I got kicked off! Guess I have to wait for my grandkids to come along before I get to ride tandem again!

  1. Very cute! Sometimes I wish I had kids to enjoy Disneyland with. Then I go and notice the meltdowns surrounding me and I’m glad I can walk away solo! He’s adorable in his pirate outfit!

    • Thanks so much! It’s a lot of fun to do a few of the same things on every trip!

    • We have a teenager too and have to learn to balance his interests with our preschooler’s interests which can be tough! But it’s Disney!!
