Favorite summer drinks is today’s topic for the Friday Five with Cynthia at You Signed Up for What, Mar at Mar on the Run and Courtney at Eat Pray Run DC. What a fun topic! I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with and maybe find a new favorite treat!
1. Blackberry Vodka. Ok, I haven’t actually tried it yet, but a few weeks ago we went blackberry picking and I found a recipe on Pinterest that involved a 3/4 full bottle of vodka, some sugar and a bunch of blackberries. It should be ready in a couple of weeks but it’s a gorgeous deep purple color already and I can’t wait to try it! 2. Vanilla Orange Soda. I shouldn’t have it often, but I adore a fountain Orange soda with a shot of vanilla syrup. Just like a creamsicle! 3. Chocolate milk! I’ve rediscovered how wonderful a glass of chocolate milk tastes right after a hot sweaty run. Mmmm.
4. Unsweet tea with stevia. I actually adore half and half tea, but I can’t have that much sugar on a regular basis, so I’ve acclimated to unsweet tea. It tastes ok on its own, but adding some stevia takes it back to a treat!
5. Water. Just plain, cold, filtered water! Nothing sounds as delicious mid or post run!
