Race Wish List — 12 Comments

    • It looks like such a fun race and the bling and tuxedoed guys are pretty sweet too. I’ll be entering the lottery for sure!

  1. I love that you listed these by month. My wish list also has Chicago and Marine Corps and Mayor’s in Alaska. I go back and forth on New York. It seems like one of the truly great ones, but the logistics on race day just seem intimidating to me.
Hershey, and Country Music Marathon or Half in Nashville are also up there for me.

    • Well I figured it would help me plan my imaginary race calendar over the next five years (LOL). I’ll have to look into the Hershey and County Music one too! Thanks!

  2. What a great list of races, I want to do at least 50% of the same ones! I think you should add the Shamrock Marathon to your list—-I hear it’s a super Boston Qualifier!

  3. The WDW marathon is really the only one on my bucket list ( I don’t dream very big…haha). Any races beyond that would just be icing on the cake!

I do hope to actually go to Big Sur at some point ( but of course this race would be dependent on my sister). Maybe Boston too, but I know I’d never qualify.
Any warm weather races would be nice too!

    • I actually dream of racing in Vermont or Maine in the summer just to get away from the heat. I do know I don’t do well racing when the temps are below 50 degrees, so it would have to be summertime! I think it will be awesome when you AND your sister run Big Sur together!

  4. I think you need to add Route 66 and the OKC marathon. But of course I’m biased. 😉 Route 66 is just a fun race, good community and great vibe to it. The OKC Memorial Marathon is just kind of an emotional thing, maybe not so much for people outside of Oklahoma, but it encompasses a bit bigger in terms of the strength of the human spirit. But it’s a beautiful course, amazing start and finish.
