Patty from My No-Guilt Life, Erika from MCM Mama Runs and I are sharing our thoughts on Novelty Runs today on Tuesdays on the Run. Things like virtual runs, foam runs, glow runs, mud runs and the granddaddy of them all…color runs.
I’m in Naples this week at a work conference and I’ll admit that my blogging mojo has been on the wane of late. I’m struggling to find the inspiration to keep putting in the hours it takes to keep this updated and to stay current with all of my blogging buddies. To be honest, I feel the most guilty that I’m not visiting my favorite blogs lately or really following up with comments or those of you who are joining in the linkup. For that, I’m really sorry! I just experiencing a bit of a perfect storm of work craziness and family stuff and race training and a bit of an ebb in my energy levels (which is not unusual for me in the late summer/early fall…kind of like cabin fever for those of you in the frigid areas in February/March/April).
Back onto the topic. Instead of rehashing it all, I’ll just link to my previous color run experience where I learned that it’s actually a ridiculous amount of fun to run just for fun, without worrying about time or sweepers or ego. And the color splashes are just that extra bit of awesomeness. Here’s my race recap from that race.
If you live in the North Central Florida area, I’d love for you to join me in the Color Run in Gainesville on October 17. I’ve even got a discount code for you! GAIN4 gets you $5 off your entry! If you’re interested, sign up here!
