TotR: The Color Run Gainesville

It’s a free topic Tuesdays on the Run with Patty from My No-Guilt Life, Erika from MCM Mama Runs and me and I’m home recovering from getting my wisdom teeth out (not a particularly fun part of life).  I thought I’d spend my recovery writing weeks worth of blog posts, but I mainly slept and watched terrible CW shows.  So, today’s free topic came at a great time for me.

I’m really excited that I’ve been named a local ambassador for The Color Run Gainesville!Firefox_Screenshot_2015-08-03T17-16-41.864Z Before I ever ran a novelty run like this, I didn’t really get it.  I like to race for time, to push myself, to get a PR and a medal.  So why would I pay to race without any of those benefits?  Well, the first time I did it because a friend talked me into it.  And it turned out to be so ridiculously fun that I got hooked!

Here’s my race recap from my first one.  It was such a novel feeling to run a race with hundreds of other runners, none of whom were competing.  We were all out there with one goal in mind…to have a great time!  And we completely succeeded!

If you’re interested in joining me in a fun, colorful race around downtown Gainesville on October 17th, sign up here!  And if you use my code GAIN4, you’ll get $5 off your entry.

  2. I hope you are fully recovered from having your wisdom teeth removed! I have never done a color run. They do sound like fun. I’m not sure the color would come out of my very light hair easily…or so I’ve been told.
